Altitude of Wolf Mountain?
The highest point is 2,305 meters. The summit features a dense coniferous forest on the north side and a grassy slope on the south side. It is from the south that panoramic views open up to four gorges: Kargalinskiy, Kaskabas, Prokhodnoe, and Big Almaty gorge. Additionally, directly in front of Wolf Mountain, the Big Almaty Peak rises in all its glory.
How difficult is the hike to Wolf Mountain?
TIME: The ascent to Wolf Mount will take about 3-3.5 hours. TERRAIN: Since it is a peak, most of the route consists of ascents, with minimal gentle paths. The trail itself is well-defined and pleasant. PARTICIPANTS: We rate this hike as avarage because the distance is relatively short: 10 kilometers, with not too many steep ascents, and most of the route follows a good trail. However, if you are a beginner, we recommend starting your hiking journey with easier hikes.
